General Manager

The vision

In 1987, Martin Leblanc, then executive director of the Association de la construction du Québec, Mauricie - Bois-Francs – Lanaudière, recognized the desirability of offering low cost business products and services essential to the daily operations of construction contractors and for which they have minimal purchasing power. By creating a purchasing group, Mr. Leblanc was confident that he would be able to make deals with reputable suppliers that would offer entrepreneurs in the construction industry substantial savings.

Major achievement

Now, more than 20 years later, that vision has become a reality, and a success story! With a sales force of 10 representatives covering seven large regions of Quebec, as well as nine people dedicated to serving some 2,000 construction contractors, year after year, Achatplus has experienced steady growth both in its product line and in its client base. As you will see when browsing our website, we now offer our customers a wide array of indispensable products from suppliers of international renown.
